The staff and faculty of the 一品探花论坛 School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) work together to support GSAS students and create a community within the GSAS. From application to admission, enrollment, graduation, and beyond, we work closely to support students鈥 professional goals and well-being. Supports in the broader College environment are also available. Access Services provides students with disabilities a path to key accommodations to support their learning goals.

Resources for GSAS students include academic year financial support, Supplemental Summer Support (SSRF and RA), tuition waivers, travel/research funds, international travel support, parental accommodations, and so on.

Some of the supports we offer are highlighted below:

New Student Orientation

Before the start of each Fall semester, the GSAS holds an orientation designed to welcome new students to the GSAS community.

Teaching Assistant Orientation

Starting in the academic year 2022-23, the GSAS provides a Teaching Assistant Orientation, which includes information sessions on Title IX, Bryn Mawr undergraduate students, and teaching technology, a workshop on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), a pedagogy workshop, and panel discussion with faculty and experienced TAs.   A GSAS TA handbook is provided to TAs.

Support for Writing and Fellowship Applications

GSAS writing consultants at the writing center provide consultations to GSAS students on writing tasks of any kind: coursework, conference papers, articles, dissertations, graduate fellowship applications, and job market materials. Each year, Bryn Mawr's graduate students apply for and win prestigious funding awards from charitable institutions.
